This course raises awareness of the risks posed by hazardous substances in workplace environments. It is ideal for individuals encountering hazardous substances for the first time but not directly handling them, or for contractors and visitors working near these materials.

Learners are trained to identify risks and apply controls to minimize exposure. This course ensures a PCBU’s compliance with Regulation 4.5 of the Health and Safety at Work (Hazardous Substances) Regulations 2017.

  • Individuals working in industries and environments where workers are potentially exposed to hazardous substances.
  • Including workers in industries such as manufacturing, construction, chemical processing, and utilities where exposure to hazardous substances is common.
  • Additionally safety officers and managers, health and safety personnel, supervisors and managers, compliance officers.
