This course equips learners with the knowledge and skills to navigate confined spaces safely and in compliance with New Zealand’s regulatory standards. On this course Learners:
- Plan and execute confined space entries, adhering to the highest safety standards.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of hazards in confined spaces to be prepared for any situation.
- Operate atmospheric testing devices effectively to ensure safe working conditions in confined spaces.
Note: Unit Standard 3058 – Demonstrate knowledge of gas testing and perform gas tests in an energy and chemical plant – can also be offered (at an additional cost). This must be conducted at your organisation. Please email contactus@impac.co.nz for more information.

Workers who will be involved in a confined space entry. This could include the entrant, standby person, the supervisor (permit receiver) and permit issuer.
